The No.1 Feng Shui Tip When Buying a Home

Over the years, I’ve watched so many people fall in love with a house for all the usual reasons. The light is beautiful, the kitchen is perfect, the decor is gorgeous. But there’s one factor far more important than anything inside.

It’s the Feng Shui of the land around the property. The surrounding environment, however big or small, shapes how supported and at peace you’ll feel once you move in. I always tell my clients, choose the landform not just the house.

Look for a feeling of protection behind the home. This can be trees, a fence, or a gentle upwards slope which can give a sense of security. In front, aim for an open, inviting space. It doesn’t have to be huge, just clear enough to feel welcoming. This balance is what allows energy to flow naturally around the outside of the property supporting everyone who lives there.

If a home looks perfect but feels ‘off’, trust your instincts. Before you fall for the kitchen step outside and ask, does this space support the life I want?

Because that is where real Feng Shui begins.
