What if you already knew what the next ten years were offering you?

We often imagine life as something that unfolds year by year, or even day by day. In reality our lives move not even in seasons, but in great arcs of time. In Chinese Astrology we work with ten year cycles. These cycles shape who we are becoming, what lessons we are here to learn, and what opportunities are waiting for us if we’re ready to step into them.

When we look at life through this lens, we see that our challenges are not random setbacks. Equally, our gifts are not just happy accidents. They are all part of a story, patiently unfolding, decade by decade. Personally, I find this both humbling and enchanting.

I’ve just worked with the wonderful Philippa. When I saw how excited she was to see her next ten year cycle mapped out, it reminded me of the power of perspective. When we can see the larger shape of our journey, suddenly our present feels richer. And our future feels already alive with possibility.

Chinese astrology offers us a framework, a way of recognising ourselves more deeply, so that we can meet the next chapter with confidence and readiness.
